ETERNABRITE 651-7 is a small particle size, very bright, leafing aluminum pigment based on standard cornflake geometry. It is a cost effective pigment for producing strong metallic effects with good coverage in paste ink formulations. This grade is produced as a pigment paste carried in Magie Oil 47.

-Leafing

ETERNABRITE 651-7 is recommended for use as a metallic colorant for paste inks used in offset printing applications. It provides a combination of good coverage and metallic luster.

This aluminum pigment paste can be pre-soaked in a non-polar solvent, where applicable, to improve dispersion. Pre-soaking generally takes from one to eight hours. The time needed for pre-soaking will increase for pigments with smaller median particle sizes. After pre-soaking, the pigment/solvent mixture should be mixed gently under low shear agitation until a smooth, lump-free slurry is obtained.

Aluminum pigment should be stored in the original shipping container and kept tightly sealed. Store containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated, and properly rated area. Avoid any conditions that will suspend or float the particles in the air, creating a dust cloud. Avoid all possible sources of ignition.
